PRACTICE
Dr. Chris Holder is a primary care physician and licensed acupuncturist with a special focus on treating cancer and neurological disorders. He is currently Resident to Dr. Leanna Standish and Dr. Laurie Mischley. Dr. Holder brings a global perspective to his practice and has spent time studying healthcare systems in many countries. He has a special interest in consciousness, environmental medicine, shamanism, and medical anthropology.

APPROACH
Dr. Holder combines the best in Western medical technology with Eastern philosophy in addressing ailments in body, mind, and spirit. Self-discovery and patient empowerment are values held in high regard. Unique combinations of modalities from around the world are utilized by Dr. Holder to promote wellness and encourage healing. Modalities available include: acupuncture, massage, cranio-sacral therapy, qigong, meditation, nutrition counseling, cognitive behavioral counseling, orthomolecular medicine, herbal medicine, and indigenous rituals.
EDUCATION
Dr. Holder graduated from Bastyr University with a doctorate in Natural Medicine and masters in Acupuncture. Prior to Bastyr, Dr. Holder did research on HLA genetics in Type I Diabetes Mellitus at Pacific Northwest Research Institute in the laboratory of William Hagopian M.D., Ph.D. Dr. Holder attended Seattle University and has a degree in biology with a minor in chemistry.
