PHILOSOPHY
Dr. Sexton has a keen interest in patients, the biochemical causes of "dis-ease" and the natural pharmacy that can aid their recovery. Dr. Sexton is compelled by the idea of the patient's body as a symbol of the mythology of their life. Each person has a story both with physical symptoms and personal narrative. Appointments will focus on close listening to not only physical symptoms but also to the underlying themes in the patient's life as an approach to mind/body wellness. In this sense, the imperative of "treating the whole person" starts on a basic level of assisting the patient in creating a new script for their life story. Dr. Sexton has experience in using ritual as a means to effect change. By understanding underlying causes on multiple levels, and using an inclusive toolbox Dr. Sexton can then facilitate a comprehensive strategy for re-visioning of each one's Uttermost Health.
